Pizhichil is a very effective poorvakarma procedure which contain both snehana and swedana together. This was mainly practiced by the age old physicians in Kerala. As it include both snehana and swedana the result are also very great. It is very effective in treating vata rogas like gout, arthritis etc. Sometimes this pizhichil is done along with the sour liquid kanchi. This is known as kadeedhara. This treatment is very effective in reducing weight.
